After checking, only the Dame can speak Greek. I think we know who gets the warding scroll :)
Robur did all the digging and should have the druidic scroll.
Noh can carry the useless Clerical scroll and Bilfur the (hopefully healthful) potion?
Just throwing it out there. :D
Sounds good to me, I have now added the scroll to the Dame's character sheet.

Re: The Ninth Adventure

The tunnel from area #2 passes under area #11 and leads to lucky area #13.

There are three objects in this room:

Leaning against the far wall is a big rusty circular saw-blade, like from a lumber mill.

Lying on the floor halfway across the room is the skeletal remains of the bottom half of a hobbet.

On the floor directly in front of you is the top half of the hobbet. They were dressed in leather armor, carrying a sword, and wearing a backpack. The poor soul was chopped in half at the waist!

Re: The Ninth Adventure

How long has he been deceased, can we tell?
Is it a good guess that the saw blade had a part in deceasing him? :)

Probably dead for years; nothing but bones at this point. Now that you mention it, his leather armor does look like it was cut by serrated 'teeth.'

Re: The Ninth Adventure

Dougal first inspects the trap to see if it is a one-time trap that must be reset and never was or even if there are more traps in the room. Once that is done and he feels the area is safe, he then inspects the body... parts... to see if any of the hapless cousin's affects are still useable. He looks around for any dropped weapon, as well.

Re: The Ninth Adventure

(Find Traps roll 1d6=4, success.)

Dougal sees one of the skeleton's feet is touching a slight indentation in the floor, about the size of a paving stone. The mechanism of the trap probably works like this: Victim steps on the pressure plate, activating the serrated iron frisbee, and the victim's severed torso goes flying across the room!

The skeleton is clutching a sword in its bony hand. The leather armor is ruined. The contents of the backpack are unknown. No other items on the floor, and no other pressure plates are visible.

(I assume unless explicitly stated that Dougal is just looking and hasn't touched anything yet.)

Re: The Ninth Adventure

Robur is very worried about this vicious trap thinks a second set of eyes will help keep his friends safe.

"Please let me check the room again," says Robur. "I don't want to worry about any of my good mates."

He will check the room for other pressure plates by standing back and poking with his javelin thingy (of course insuring that his friends do not go near where he does this). Once done, he will use a few mushrooms to place around the pressure plate that killed the hobbit so others don't accidentally step on it.

"What a sorrowful way to go for a fellow hobbit!" says Robur. "Can we maybe have a moment of silence for him...?"

Robur gives a quiet speech to the dead adventurer, "Dear stranger, you passed into the next life just as sure as you lived it. You sought adventure, and like us, you willingly went into the unknown. But your life was stopped too short tragically. We wish you well, and offer you our brief respect. Have hearty Hobbit meals and drink in the beyond, and we will now adventure in your place."

Robur bows his head briefly, and then declares, "Shall we check this poor lads things and his bag?" says Robur (assuming the rest of the room seemed safe after his second inspection...)

Re: The Ninth Adventure

Can we tell from the state of the armor/equipment how long ago the poor fellow met his fate?

Also, what condition is the sword in? If this was ages ago and the sword is still bright, that might indicate that it is magical...
