Carrion Crawler Round 1

Pew! Pew! Pew!

Dame Simonetta, Willie, Dougal, Noh, and Robur hit the carrion crawler with their sling stones. Noh's shot stuns it, and then Robur's bullseye shot goes through the crawler's eye, into its brain, killing it instantly!

"Don't forget there are Spiders about" Kiplyn reminds everyone pointing towards the dark ceiling.

"Let's check it quickly!" exclaims Robur puffing himself with pride over getting the killing hit.

Dame Simonetta keeps watch for the spiders, she has no interest in cutting up the crawler.

Noh shrugs, his idea after all, he ensures folks are checking the ceiling (including Carc) and takes out his filleting knife to check the bug's insides. He also notes anything of interest that will increase his druidic knowledge, and is careful not to touch the tentacled head with ungloved hands

bilfur looks on and wonders about burning the dead creature so it does not smell when we come back later to leave

The party spends 1 turn autopsying the carrion crawler, but nothing of value is found in its stomach.

Bilfur toys with the idea of burning the corpse, but he worries the smoke and flame would trigger another wandering monster check. (The carrion crawler encounter was triggered by burning the spider web.)

Dougal stares at the crawler for a bit before asking, "Do you think it has a lair somewhere around here?"

Feeling the harmful stings of my own battle this morning. Walked out the door to go to work and I guess I disturbed a nest of wasps living in my screen door! Got stung on the left ear, forehead, and neck. I killed four, though, so I think I'm ahead. With the swelling, I'm probably even more ahead. :\ I'm going to award myself 5xp per wasp because it f***ing hurts.
