The Second Adventure

After Dame Simonetta has put her mail back on, she will lead the way North-East as directed by Willie.

Kiplyn remains relatively un-bothered and takes the time to light one of his own torches. With Shield and Torch at the ready he looks around waiting for the others to recover and lead on. "'Strange puffy thingies, are they food? If so what eats 'em"

Dougal stands guard while the others don their armour. He continues to scan the walls and ceiling for spider-goat.

Willie will wait patiently for the others to rest, not caring to venture off (not even as far as the supply chest) by himself -- he keeps an eye on the darkness above their heads, and the nearby walls, for any white crawling things. While everyone is donning their armour & checking their wounds, he says to Noh:

"Well, we won't spoil any of the fun things for you. But this seems to be as good a time as any to let you know that there is definitely an eight-legged spider goat in here somewhere." He blushes. "Sorry we forgot to mention it earlier."

Noh feeds the magic glow-worm to Carc, who seems to enjoy the snack with no ill effect. Noh senses in the eyes of his bird a great (but temporary) intelligence and desire to learn.

Dame Simonetta leads the way northeast, carefully picking her way between the giant puffballs. At the spot marked 3 she finds a large chest, like a steamer trunk. It has a lock with no keyhole, bearing the inscription: What is the First Rule?

Willie, following behind, sees that they've reached the chest!

"Oh, this is a fun one! I'll let you guess."

He waits with some excitement.

Only mildly interested, since it seems to Noh that this is neither animal nor mineral, he concentrates on Carc. He trains him to scout up ahead and alert to any danger when he says, "Carc, scout ahead." Once his corvine friend seems to have the hang of it, Noh turns his attention back to the trunk with the others.

Kiplyn moves up to the chest and scratches his head. "What's this then? We know the 1st rule, its You do not talk about ADVENTURE CLUB."

When Kiplyn speaks the First Rule, he hears a series of ticking and whirring sounds from inside the lock, and then it pops open. On the inside of the lid, written in cheerful papyrus font, is this sign: ADVENTURE CLUB GENERAL STORE (self service honor system) Gems and Ore are also accepted, in lieu of coins. Inside the chest are neatly organized adventuring supplies such as torches, empty sacks, iron spikes, etc. (basically any standard equipment 5gp or less). There is also a metal lock box with a slot for accepting payment.
