I don't know if Mike has the "You can't make it an 18" rule or not. If he doesn't, then you could bump Stat [2] up to 18 that way.

Either way, I'd highly recommend doing that.

Thanks, I missed that bit on first read. That does indeed give me an 18 INT and I also chose to rearrange to get a higher CON for the HP bonus - nice!

So 4 out 7 of the Characters are ready to roll. I'm going to post the first "turn" which is really just a getting to know you setting. For those who have not finished up the Character Creation let me know if you have a question you can always drop in when you are ready.

I have a fair bit of gold left over from my starting sum, I was thinking of some hirelings - a porter/torch-bearer and maybe a mercenary. Can we assume at least the former is available for us in Alu on the Downs?

Remember humans may swap 6 for a 1 otherwise arrange as desired.

Gold: 5 [1 1 3 on 3d6]

A rather horrible gold start, but :) the dice foreshadowed the story.

Thanks for the rolls! I am thinking "Urist Stonechapel, poor dwarf far from home with naught more than his shield and battleaxe" but I want to sleep on it before making the final decision. :)

Dwarves are always fun, it would be a good fit in many ways. But by all means give it some thought.
