I thought so; this time we have Dieter, Dorgan, and Desmond all in frame, so Mondes gets his moment in the spotlight ;)

Re: (057) Dawn Patrol

Desmond looks down at the wolf creature entering the building. He doesn't even consider following it by himself.

Instead, he will wait for the two creatures to his left to engage his friends, then he will strike the one who fights the fewest foes from behind after melee combat is engaged.

Re: (057) Dawn Patrol

Sensing an opportunity, and frankly tired of carrying a vial of XXX acid among his possessions, Armando takes aim and hurls the vial down at one of the two wolf-creatures topping the sloping roof in his vicinity — but only if doing so presents no obvious danger to Desmond, his other companions or, indeed, himself! In either event he would try to stay close behind Wen and Josiane.

Re: (057) Dawn Patrol

Ulric defends himself with his staff, while attempting to fall back behind Dorgan.

OOC: Will Ulric's two remaining missiles strike before melee or after?

Edited on 5/15 after clarification in OOC.

Re: (057) Dawn Patrol

Highbough sticks to the periphery of the action, not wanting to give up his position. Sticking to the wall so he isn't caught by Ulric's magic or Armando's acid, the invisible elf moves a bit to the north to cover Desmond. If any wolf-nuns try to backstab the backstabber, they will be met with a rude blink-spearing!

Re: (057) Dawn Patrol

Olaf is using a silvered arrow to fire into the attacking Wolf-thing!

OOC: Why buy them if not to use them and it doesn't look like regular arrows did them any harm.

Re: (057) Dawn Patrol

Very good. Josiane will fight defensively this turn, guarding young Wen's escape from the two wolf-men clambering onto the roof nearby.

The initiative dice for this turn (for where such things matter) are:
Wolf-men 1d6=5 versus the players 1d6=3.

The wolf-men move with scarcely believable ferocity, and momentarily catch the players on the back foot!

More to follow...

Re: (057) Dawn Patrol

On the northern part of the wall

Olaf seeks to put a silver arrow into the monster that comes galloping at him, but it is on him all too soon heroic combat: 1d20=14 vs AC6 (shield doesn't count while firing); hit; 1d6=4 and punishes him with 4 hit points of damage. Olaf can't fire his bow back in melee combat, but fortunately for him Dieter comes storming across the wall to assist him 1d20=6 but he can't cover the distance in time (he'll be in the fighting next turn). Torben comes running from the other direction 1d20=11 but will likewise make the fight proper next turn.

Meanwhile Ulric tries to defend himself as he back-peddles out of danger wolf-man 1d20=17; hits; 1d6=4 but his defense is no match for the savagery of the wolf-man and he suffers 4 hit points of damage on his retreat before Dorgan and then Gustave shove by him on the narrow wall.

Dorgan is in the leading position then and counter attacks d20=5 but there's little enough space to swing a pipe, let alone an axe! Gustave can't attack over Dorgan's head and the catwalk is too narrow for two to fight abreast.

At the very same time Beringar gets the fright of his life; the nightmare creature bounds at him as he is exchanging bow for spear--he ain't got time to set himself proper to take a charge but he somehow manages to offer the dagger-point of his weapon to the on rushing monster 1d20=1, but he's all thumbs when it matters and his thrust is ill-aimed and deflected in a flash. And then it's all over him Berigar is yet a normal type so it gets four attacks; will this be his end? Heroic combat: 4d20=16,11,19,4 vs AC4; 2 hits; 2d6=3,6=helmet loss and 3 damage Beringar scarcely holds his own as he is battered fiercely. His helmet is knocked from his noggin and tumbles over the wall and into the orchard, while he suffers 3 hit points of damage.

On the southern part of the wall

Desmond/Mondes d6=5 escapes the notice of the two slavering wolf-things that noisily clamber onto the roof (apparently it pays to be small!) and fling themselves toward Josiane, who boldy tries to prevent them from contacting Wen and Armando who are at that very moment slipping by behind her. "Face me! Fiends!" she yells, and they verily come crashing against her.

Armando has not time to fling his potent vile safely and, truth be told, scarcely holds his balance as he totters precariously along the wall-top immediately behind Josine as the wolf-men smash into her!

Desmond/Mondes closes behind them as they meet Josiane with a brutal clatter, but unseen to him, a third and most canny wolf-man creeps over the lip of the roof whence he had just come and prepares to pounce. But unseen to HIM Highbough has anticipated exactly this eventuality, and is waiting to waylay him...

Everything happens.

Two werewolves attack Josiane heroic combat: 2d20=20,10 @-4 vs AC6; one hit, one miss despite parry but no counterstrike because Josiane's sword is medium; 1d6=3 for 3 hit points of damage.

Highbough blinks across the intervening space to attack the canny wolf-man by surprise with the Ire Spear heroic combat: 1d20=9 @+5; hit; 1d6=3 dealing 3 hit points of damage, the wolf-man is surprised so cannot respond.

Desmond/Mondes attacks a wolf from behind 1d20=14 @+5; hit; 2d6=4 striking it with his silvered dagger for 4 hit points of damage.

Armando and Wen have kept out of harm's way this turn (a very good thing).

And Finally

And now Ulric's remaining two missiles come scorching back at the fray 2d20=18,12; both even rolls so only enemy are targeted; one hit; 1d6=5 and one punches for 6 hit points of damage! The other missile overshoots dramatically, and begins another a wide skidding turn somewhere out over the orchard.

But nobody spares it a thought, for there comes a catastrophic din--as if the Gods were blasting a mighty horn--and then even that is drowned in the cacophony of the rear wall of the chapel collapsing in a great cloud of dust and rubble!!

What next?

Re: (057) Dawn Patrol

Dorgan has little time to contemplate the collapse of the wall, having more pressing concerns in front of him.

"Yer friends learned the hard way to fear my axe, beast. Time I teach ye a lesson as well."

The dwarf will press the attack, Mads Cold Iron Axe gleaming in the light.

Re: (057) Dawn Patrol

Wen would suddenly feel caught between a rock and a hard place. Ahead Highbough battles a Wolf-man, behind Josiane battles two. Lacking any silver weapons the Elf is in a tight spot for sure. He would spare a glance or two across the courtyard to see what is emerging from the chapel. If a target doesn't not present itself he would switch to sword and shield and prepare to defend.
