Re: Delve the Sixteenth

Franklin cannot tell the extent of Maloof's injuries, and therefore continues with his plan: "Aim high so you don't hit Maloof in the back," he instructs Balbo and Drogo. (accepting the -4 penalty)

Re: Delve the Sixteenth

Nailus will jump into the fray.

Assuming color spray will not affect a statue, he could hit it with a wand of fire or cold. He would choose cold assuming it might make stone more brittle, But would not want to hit Maloof.
If there is a chance that will happen he will instead attack with battle axe and shield.

Re: Delve the Sixteenth

Rebuffed, Maloof struggles to retreat back out of melee range.
Welp, that could have gone one of two ways...

Re: Delve the Sixteenth

Albane directs Bannon into the room to attack the statue, and yells "Maloof, retreat!". Assuming the gnome can make it back to where Aldbane is, Aldbane will use the staff of healing on him.

I think at this range, the collateral damage would be too much for the wand, so we will go with Battle Axe for him

Re: Delve the Sixteenth

Maloof quickly scambles out of the way, as slingstones whiz overhead and batter the monstrosity. Then, Nailus and Aldbae rush in, and with two mighty hacks, cut it in half. Maloof reaches Aldbane, who heals him partly with his staff
INITIATIVE
Party 6 Monster 5

Maloof scrambles out of the way
Franklin, Balbo and Drogo attack: 18/15/1
- Franklin and Balbo hit for 5 and 3 damage
Nailus attacks: 20, hits for 9 damage
Bannon attacks:10, hits for 6 damage
Aldbane heals Maloof for 5 damage

The monster has taken 23 damage, and dies.
Maloof is now healed back to 8 hit points

OOC: Could someone help me understand my Axe of Beheading? What roll do I need to make to have it activate its special power?

I am sorry, you are correct, it should have beheaded the demon on a 20. No harm, as it was still killed this round, but glad you asked. I might remember next time!

Re: Delve the Sixteenth

"Such rudeness!", Maloof chides as he investigates the tears in his clothing and ensures his new hat is still upon his head. "Well, back to the chest!"

Now that he's no longer attempting to bluff a guardian statue, he'll give the chest a careful check for traps before opening it up.
