Delve the Fifteenth

You startle two fighting men, who unsheath their swords as you enter. The one on the left says "Who are you? Sent to kill Ozminster, or sent after us?"

The room is 30; high by 40' long, running west, with an opening opposite you to another room. In the middle of the west wall is a large metal grate, and behind it you can see a wyvern peering through the bars

Franklin stays hidden (for now). He looks (but does not touch) if he can figure out how to release the wyvern. Perhaps some kind of lever or latch mechanism?

"We were sent after Ozminster," Maloof hastily explains, ushering the party into the room and hastily closing the door afterwards. "Just now we heard someone ordering your two charmed companions over here to deal with you."

[Makofan]

Franklin stays hidden (for now). He looks (but does not touch) if he can figure out how to release the wyvern. Perhaps some kind of lever or latch mechanism?

Definitely, there is a pull chain that will open the door, to the right of the grating

"We were sent after Ozminster," Maloof hastily explains, ushering the party into the room and hastily closing the door afterwards. "Just now we heard someone ordering your two charmed companions over here to deal with you."

"That's great news" he says, in a tone implying anything but. "We have them out numbered though, can you think of a way of capturing them? Once we kill the wizard, their charm should be broken - we hope"

Franklin makes a mental note for later, but does not release the wyvern at this time. "Maybe the wyvern is a polymorphed princess, and killing Ozminster will break the spell," he thinks idly to himself.

"Other than simply overpowering them and tying them up? No," Maloof says.

Anybody else feel like chiming in with ideas or a plan?

"Restraining the men will be our only option, unless we can fool them into thinking we are also friends with Ozminster, and turning on the lot when we have a chance," Aldbane says.

Aldbane doesn't have any spells that could be useful - other than hold person, and then just once, which might be best left for Ozminster.

Is anybody going to ask about the wyvern?
