I think it's still Rhod. He'll step up to the door, but with his off hand so he still has his sword ready. (If regular opening doesn't work, he'll use his foot if it opens away, or get help/a prybar if it opens toward us.)

The door opens onto a huge corridor leading west/east (left/right). It s 20' wide, and leads at least 30' west. To the right, it goes 20' east, then turns north, still 20' wide

Sorry, I thought it was a dead-end to the west but upon re-reading I see that I was incorrect. In that case, Maloof will remain awaiting Franklin's report.
