Re: The Ninth Adventure

If there is room enough to sling a stone at the beast Kiplyn will. He will then retreat west back towards the Y.

Re: The Ninth Adventure

Skelly Crock Battle round 1

With trademark hobbet precision, our heroes launch a volley of missiles against the crocodile skeleton. All of the sling stones find their mark, and Noh strikes the killing blow! His javelin pierces the crocodile's skull like a lawn dart, and the bones crumble to dust.

Except that's not what happens... Delving Deeper skeletons cannot by harmed by normal missiles, oh no!!

In a devastating turn of events, the undead creature continues to lumber forward, seemingly immune to the party's attacks. The slingstones sail harmlessly through the rib cage, and Noh's javelin is embedded in the skull, but the skeleton doesn't seem to mind.

It crushes Dame Simonetta like a ragdoll for 5hp damage!

The skeleton is in melee range now. Remember that this combat is taking place in the tunnel, and maybe use that to your advantage, to protect the squishy members of the party. What will you do next??
To hit rolls:
Wilbur 17, hit for 4hp
Dame Simonetta 22, hit for 2hp
Noh (javelin) 24, hit for 5hp
Bilfur 16, hit for 3hp
Kiplyn 15, hit for 3hp
Dougal 19, hit for 2hp
Skeleton would have taken 19hp damage

Crocodile Skeleton bite vs. Dame Simonetta 14, hit for 5hp dropping her to 5/10.

As the battle rages, Robur and the henchmen are gathering mushrooms. One thing Robur notices right away: the edge of the mushroom patch is neatly trimmed, where the tunnel enters the room. Robur can see that someone has been tending these mushrooms, to keep the patch from growing out into the hallway.

(Added 'short stalked mushroom' to Robur's inventory.)

Re: The Ninth Adventure

Are there any larger rocks overhead or more likely stalactites that could be knocked down to perhaps crush this thing...?

Dame Simonetta remains steadfastly blocking the passage, to protect the other hobbets. She attacks it with her sword.

But that would squish Dame Simonetta!

Kiplyn is not at all happy about the situation as he retreats and looks for a nook to hide in....
If Dame falls back I will certainly spring from the shadows on the beast....
