Franklin moves around the edge of the room, trying to hear the source of the voices, with his dog Sconces sniffing for unusual scents.

Rather than crossing the full length of the sand room, I'd feel safer looping around through the elevator room and then coming back to the sand room from the other side. Then we can cut across to the exit in the SW corner of the sand room.
