I've already added Karl's XP. Still puts him shy of 2nd level.

So... Karl had 528 XP after the first mission.

Then, on this mission, he gained:
1,029 +10% = 1,132 from combats.
2,212 +10% = 2,433 from treasure.
(and assuming he picked up a Bleakmass gift?)
50 +10% = 55 from bleakmass.

Sums to: 528 + 1,132 + 2,433 + 55 = 4,148, but the most Karl can get to is 3,999, so 149 XP are lost (if he picked up a Bleakmass gift)

Still, I don't think Karl got a Bleakmas gift. I don't remember it and I don't have it on my sheet. So I didn't lose as many xp as you might think...
