"I would travel with you to aid your comrades, if you would have me. I am not much for forced marches, however, so if speed is of the essence I will instead travel with Master Dorgan," Morgan offers.

Re: (069) Pilgrims & Practicalities

Matilda appears with the platter... 'tis made shiny almost beyond recognition!

"I hope this will serve milord," offers the girl, averting her eyes from Armando's magnificent figure as she hands over the treasure.

Desmond, Highbough, Josiane, Wen, Armando, Helmut, Ashtad, and Morgan say their parting words to Dorgan, Hiridhren, and Ulric, and then make for the Basal under the Chapel, and the The Ring therein...
Desmond, Highbough, Josiane, Wen, Armando, Helmut, Ashtad, and Morgan over to thread 72 please; unless you prefer to remain at the Abbey or accompany Dorgan to Southwatch (which would not necessarily be unwise)...

I hope I am not too late to say that, if Ulric is not coming with us (why? we could really use his firepower! and who cares about the pilgrims, not highbough) then Josiane should claim the Speculem from him. We'll need it on the other side to find Gustave.

Josiane will be sure to claim the Speculem from Ulric before she accompanies the others to the Ring.

Re: (069) Pilgrims & Practicalities

"What, this pretty thing?" inquires Ulric, casually patting the concealed Speculum. "I think it best that I hang onto it... but have no fear; I wouldn't miss this trip for all of Ket."
It's a reasonable option to leave the abbey "unoccupied" by a player; however the lawful-types may want to give a thought to the security and supplies of the pilgrims. It would not be a seemly thing to leave them to starve in the wilderness; and that is not to mention the doppleganger problem...

Ulric, however, is neutral so he is not particularly concerned either way.

Re: (069) Pilgrims & Practicalities

Josiane has already handed over two weeks of her elvish rations to the pilgrims. She will further instruct them to make a thorough search of the kitchens for any unspoiled supplies that may be had, and to then turn their attentions to the abbey gardens - food was seemingly being cultivated there. Let them collect and gather what they may, being sure to always work in pairs.

She will further direct them to do what they can to repair or at least barricade Guntrum's Breach and the damage done to the walls by the fall of the tar demon.

And do any of the faithful have any prior experience with arms? A couple of stout spearmen to guard the rest would be welcome.

Re: (069) Pilgrims & Practicalities

Dorgan will slap Morgan appreciatively on the back.

Rest well tonight. We embark on the morn.

To the rest of the party, before they head out to the Ring...

Uh, might I beg for a day or two's rations? My Elf bread lies burnt at the bottom of the shadow pit.

Re: (069) Pilgrims & Practicalities

If no other help is forthcoming Josiane will give Dorgan two days worth of her remaining rations.

And if she still has time she'd like to make sure her water skin is well topped up. It seems to be hot on the other side!
