Certainly if you ran through it back in 1980-something, it bears little resemblance to Mush's version.mushgnome wrote:We are totally butchering B2: Caves of Chaos over on odd74 boards right now.
I do literally mean "butchering," WIlliam S. Burroughs 'cut-up' style... up is down, west is east, Cthulhu-worshipping Deep Ones are spawning in the Cave of the Unknown, etc.
It's nuts. I come here and game with y'all to relax.
The original goal of the campaign (three years ago), was to journey out into the Hinterlands and sack the various goblin/hobgoblin caves out there, and thus free Ket and its trade routes of the scourge.sully wrote:The original goal of the group was to go to the Hinterlands and (I guess) find a dungeon to crawl or something.
What? You mean there is no Minnie?ehiker133 wrote:Somebody said Hinterlands and The Gustave thought they said Disney Land and signed up!
We didn't come close to clearing the top level out. After we lost Sir Roderick to the water demon and got surrounded by zombies we hightailed it out of there. Only to get surrounded by hobgoblins back at the surface (notice a theme?). There was a lower level that a pair of characters briefly entered and discovered some nice jewels, but they were driven off by living statues. If I remember correctly one of them died trying to escape. Good times.mushgnome wrote:(Seriously, I think he means the Ruin where we enjoyed our rancid warg steaks. It was before I joined, but I think you guys only cleared the top level.)
I'm good with this.danhem wrote:I'll put a vote in for trying to locate some hobgoblin strongholds to loot and burn while the army is away. We need resources to win back Ket, something that is currently in short supply. It may also be worth our while to try to take out some of the blockades in the road between Ket and the human cities to the east on the way.
