Re: 04 - Ruin in the Moor

Alrik quickly tends to Phadian as he instructs. Once he has bound Phadian's wounds, he'll retrieve his dagger amd keep watch at the far door.

Rhegaer the Red

Rhegaer takes a few deep breaths as the adrenaline of battle leaves his body exhausted. He looks down at his arm and notices he is bleeding - apparently a ite from one of the wolves...

He takes Phadian's advice and cares for his wound after the cleric has been tended.

Re: 04 - Ruin in the Moor

Phadian

Phadian provides bits and pieces of advice as Alrik tends to his wounds. Phadian visibly relaxes as his wounds are tended to.

To Alrik - "If you ever considered healing you have a deft hand"

Phadian motions the others over so he can look at their wounds. He makes a few adjustments, explaining as he goes what he is doing.

"All these wounds should heal fine without fever and darkening, but we need some time to let the body do its work to mend. We need to find someplace to rest up for 2 or 3 days."

Rhegaer the Red

After wounds have been tended, Rhegaer takes a moment to examine the room further, looking for additional valuables, exits, and anything else of interest.

"We might want to make sure the rest of this place is clear. There is a lot we didn't explore..."

Coln to Rhegaer

"Aye. At the very least before we rest we should make sure that this place is in a safe spot and that there isn't a room full o' goblins right next to here that will come after all the noise we made."
"Role, not roll. People who can't accept that in D&D prove that, irl, they can't accept actually THINKING their way to a reward - they want everything to be fast and perfect. That's why real men play OD&D :p" -Me

Re: 04 - Ruin in the Moor

Alrik goes to work on Phadian, the would is cleaned and bleeding is staunched and packed. Phadian is very weary and sits quietly trying to get the pain under control.

Rhegaer and Coln take the mumbled advice of Phadian and wash and bind their wounds as well. Then the two poke around while Alrik continues to work on Phadian.

Ragtoe has his spear which is fair quality. Bits and pieces of leather armor, 2 good daggers, and a pouch with 12gp, 23sp, 12cp

The Wargs den is connected to Ragtoe's chamber via the east door, that he entered from.

The room beyond is a mess of strange junk. Bits of broken armor and weapons hang on the walls like sad trophies. A large pile of fresh grass must be the bed, it is easily 3 feet deep and you see bugs crawling around in the pile. Perhaps these are midnight snacks for Ragtoe?

There is wooden chest near the "bed". There is a door in the east wall, north side... A cautious peek reveals a short hallway that must be some sort of underground privy. The smell is awful and you spend very little time looking around there.

After 30 minutes or so Phadian thinks he can walk...

Rhegaer +1 HP
Coln +1 HP
Phadian +2 HP

What now?

Rhegaer the Red

Rhegaer uses his spear to sift through the bedding to make sure nothing is hidden within. Then he examines the chest to see if it is locked.

Re: 04 - Ruin in the Moor

Phadian

"I think it would be wise to at least hold up here for one night. Alrik can get his spell back, we can let our wounds start mending. This is as defensible a spot as any with a little thought and preparation. We can head out in the morning and check the rest of the dungeon, though I will need to restrain from joining a fight, one good shot will finish me."

Phadian pauses, thinks for a second and adds

"Seems like we have killed or captured most of the raiding party that attacked the town. That just leaves the mage Illmir to find and take care of."

Re: 04 - Ruin in the Moor

Hagwen

"Oh, no, it don't."

Hagwen comes stomping into the room, looking with approval at the dead bodies.

"So that's Ragtoe and - what? - two wargs down? Not bad; but there's at least one o' them doggies left, or so I'm told, plus a bunch o' Gnolls ol' Illmir's hired 'isself."

"An' 'ere's the fun part,"
she adds with a grin; "Seems our mage is a necromancer; 'ee's raised hisself a bunch o' dead down 'ere ta keep 'im company. There's a job o' work to attend to yet, boys..."
