Thaaaats what I'm talkin' about. Confusion and chaos amongst the foes. Was hoping to maybe give the wolfmen at least a penalty to their attack and/or defense with that, as well. Looks like it might have worked.waysoftheearth wrote:The Blighted Passage
(Josiane, Desmond/Mondes, Dorgan, Dieter and Wen)
Meanwhile, behind, the tide of baying wolves come rushing at Desmond/Mondes as Josiane bravely moves into a supporting position, and Wen sends his eye-fire and candles flames zipping among them. Desmond/Mondes blows long and hard upon his wolf-whistle as the canine onslaught come on...
(The wolves make a reaction check; 2d6=3!)
...and they fall into confusion as their ears prick up and head them in all directions. Some veer sharply one way or the other, others jerk back to listen, others fall to the ground with their paws over their ears. But their charge is broken up without falling upon their prey and our heroes are spared for at least a moment.
Dieter and Dorgan sense the four wolfmen are offended by the noise also... but spy beyond them another pair of black-robed priests standing in the runic doorway, observing the melee from a relatively safe distance.
