The Anvil and Hans
(Dorgan, Gustave, Desmond/Mondes)
Dorgan sees that Hans and his apprentices have crafted a number of small hammers and axes and picks that are for sale, seemingly tools rather than weapons, but decides to venture his letter opener anyways.sulldawga wrote: If Dorgan sees any weapons on sale, he'll produce the letter-opener from his boot and ask the smith to venture his opinion on the value of the blade. If he sees only armor, he'll hold his tongue.
Hans tests the weight and edge of it in his tough, blackened hands.
"It's a nice piece o' work," he states, matter of factly, "Well balanced, a keen edge, and a nice weight o' silver in the hilt." He hands it back hilt first and scratches his chin a moment.
"I'd reckon it worth 30 silver, if ye want my opinion."
The three fellows purchase all four shields which Hans has available, and Gustave places a commission for an additional one.
