Re: Delve the Sixth

The door opens onto a 30' wide (centered on the door) x 50' room. At the far end of the room, flanked by statues of jackal-headed men, are steps leading down

Re: Delve the Sixth

Wiglaff approaches the statues cautiously & examines them from ten feet away.

How large are they?
Can he tell what material they are made of?
Are they armed?

And just in case, he raises a hand to them in greeting and says:

"Hark!"

They are about 6 feet high
Made of basalt he thinks
They are unarmed, although a sword is sculpted into their belt
They do not respond to the greeting

Grampus asks, "Shall we continue on this level or try out the stairs?"

"We have spells yet, and are unwounded. I say we risk a quick jaunt down below. Just a quick look around, and then retreat. There may be treasure to be had."

"Let's go down and have a quick look!" agrees Franklin.

Re: Delve the Sixth

The stairs go down 20 feet, then double back and head 20' south into a chamber. The entrance to the stairs is in the middle of the north wall of this 30' square chamber. In the four corners of the room are statues of an eagle, a lion, a winged man and an ox. There is an exit in the middle of the west wall that goes 10 feet to a door. There is an exit in the middle of the east wall that goes 30 feet, then turns north in the 40' section. 20' along the north wall of this passage is a door.

Wiglaff moves to the west door & listens.

Aldbane examines the statues in turn, although he won't touch them. Does he see anything unusual? Any sign that they have been moved at one time?

Re: Delve the Sixth

Franklin moves to the eastern corridor. If he doesn't see or hear anything suspicious, then he moves 20' east and listens at the door in the north wall. (He does not open it.)
