There is a 10' alcove on the right, and to the left it immediately turns 10' north to a door

Aldbane will also help search the alcove, if that turns up nothing he'll listen at the door.

Maloof casts a disappointed eye back towards the alcove as he heads for the door. (He will also listen at the door alongside Aldbane, if possible).

You hear a lot of loud clacking noises, with intermittent rhythms and different tones to them.

Perhaps some kind of insect(s)? Or machinery?

On the positive side, the noise might mask the sound of us opening the door (especially if we try to match it to the rhythm).

Agreed, Aldbane can open the door and stand aside for the fighting-types to assess the situation?

Franklin is curious by nature and agrees it is certainly worth a look-see what is causing those sounds.

Opening the door does bring the attention of the occupants - five more of those giant beetle-headed things you encountered at the elevator. They are tearing apart a couple of bodies and eating them. The 20' wide x 30' tall room is in a squalid condition, but among the littered are many coins, and a gleaming sword. There are no other visible exits in the room
