Planned Outage 11/20

Just FYI there will be a short outage on Friday 11/20 around 9AM PST. This step1 in server refresh for this piece of hardware. I will be moving this entire system over to Virtual Machine for a few weeks while we refresh the hardware and install a new Operating System.

During Step 2 I will go ahead do the PHP 5.6 to php 7.2 upgrade and there for jump the PHPBB system up to the newest. If I have enough coffee that day I might install the Dice Rolling Extension. I will post the Step 2 and 3 on the this thread as they get closer. My guess is Step 2 will be next week and then the final cut back to the hardware will be early December.

The cut over was successful no drama to report :).... Like I said next week I'll finally pull the trigger on PHP 7 for this install.

Great work Mike.
Once that's all sorted, I wonder whether there's an add-on/plugin for phpBB that would give us a like button, or similar?

Re: Planned Outage 11/20

I went ahead and cut over to php7.2 and the newest phpbb board. This also pretty went without a hitch. I did download the newest ca_style and restored but the colors are not totally correct (green buttons). I have the old colors.css file so I can hunt it down but it'll have to wait until tomorrow.
