Guntrum thinks back; can he recall if those torchs were lit before the one he is carrying? If he can maneuver without jostling Josiane, he'll put himself at Josiane's back, facing back down the corridor.waysoftheearth wrote:Guntram observes the way back still seems to be clear... but has one of those torches gone out? The light in the ante-chamber might have dimmed...
Alas, no. Perhaps if you'd dragged one of the sarcophagi in from the ante-chamber... but that would have been a mighty effort.sulldawga wrote:OOC: Is there anything large and heavy nearby? Wondering if I/we can roll something down the stairs and crush all of them, or knock them off the stairs so they smash on the stones below...
It can hardly have been long enough for the torches to have burned out... can it?rleduc wrote:Guntrum thinks back; can he recall if those torchs were lit before the one he is carrying? If he can maneuver without jostling Josiane, he'll put himself at Josiane's back, facing back down the corridor.
He'll go 15 feet down the corridor and listen for a moment, taking note of any temperature drops, and then retreat to the group.
"Let us pray if these knights do also come to life they will fight for us, against the undead behind us. Maybe I should learn to pray old friend if it helps", smiles Wibert.waysoftheearth wrote:The Third Vault
(Wibert and Pelenwin)
Wibert enters the room and goes immediately to the nearest pot of coins and digs up a handful to let them run through his fingers. They clink and clatter pleasingly as they spill back into the pot.
"Gold!" he breathes.
Meanwhile Pelenwin examines a few of the sarcophagi. The stonework is old and worn, and grimy with old dust and lichen.
The knights graven into the stone wear an unfashionable style of plate armour, not made now for many decades. The few whose lids are dislodged, he can check without disturbing anything -- but these seem all to be empty. There are others whose lids are still sealed, however.
Then we press on undelayed!waysoftheearth wrote:Ulric has the scepter in hand, so there is no need for any delay whatever.eris wrote:Olaf recovers his scepter as he passes through the room but he doesn't delay long.
