"I've had a simple life, working as a hand for old Sturla, the gamekeeper at Ser Falco's manor near Maine," Guntrum begins. "I set out for a life of adventure, since the pay was not near enough to raise a family or to help my folks. That was only just more than a month ago.eris wrote:Olaf finds a rock to sit on (...)
Looking over at the new man in the group he says, "Guntram, while we're waiting for the others to get back, have you got any exciting tales about your adventures you'd care to share?"
I did have a run in with one Gregoire. Sour sort of git, and not good at cards. I let him put a bag of beans up as a bet since he was short. He claimed they were magic. I know naught about that, but agreed as we were deep in the game, and there was no sense calling it off. When I won, he accused me of being a cheat, which I don't take kindly to. I've never a dishonest bone in my body. He shouted and raved and then he pushed me. One thing led to another, and I bust his nose. Anyhow, all his fuss over losing made me think the beans might be worth something after all. Had to leave the town quickly after that, and haven't thought about how to work 'em. Hopefully they are at least good eating!"
