The only other exit that is apparent from this bleak chamber would have been to Zax's right as he entered the room. With the first exit quite occupied with the gaggle of his fellows, Zax takes this second exit now, and finds the door opens easily out into the passage.

He intuits that turning right will take him back the way he has come. Turning left will lead into the unexplored...

Zem sighs"I can't just leave the poor lads where they fallen". He begins to drag Dopey and Wetzel out of the carnage. Without anything to entomb them with he takes some of the monks robes to cover the bodies and weighs them down with the weapons of the monks."If nothing else at least we can show they where honored. If we can return here before we leave we can bring them to the surface, the Hobbit would prefer to rest outside I think."

We have 6 active characters in the group (are we considering the others out at this point?). Leudigar is fine storing the smaller treasure items (coins, buckles, spectacles, rings) in his pack, but the rations should be divided out and maybe the torches and water skin and wine skin and pipes/tobacco.

Freid looks around. Can he figure out what the monks were doing, what sort of spell they were trying to invoke? He'll also take his share of any loot.

Freid took 3 rations and 2 torches. Freid doesn't have a bow, but he does have 6 Goblin arrows. If there is an extra bow, he'd like to claim that. If no bow, can he take the crossbow and bolts that were dropped and pass along the arrows to someone else?

Zax is suddenly overcome with melacholy. He glances left, then right, then heads for 'the unknown'.

As Zax has not thought to bring a torch with him, he may not get far...

In the ritual room, Zem makes and effort to lay his fallen fellows respectfully aside from the general carnage. Fried tries to make out what the monks make have been up to, but whatever it was, their set-up--of chalk-dust lines between marked pebbles and rows of candles--has been completely disturbed; if it had any discernible meaning before the battle, it is wildly beyond the fighting-man's comprehension now.

Meanwhile, some effort is made to retrieve useful goods from Dopey and Wetzel's packs, and these are distributed appropriately.

Outside, Zax enjoys a quiet moment to himself, where he can feel melancholy without anyone noticing...

Almost immediately he comes to T junction; another passage forks off to his right. Meanwhile, he can dimly see that the passageway continues another 20ft or so before also turning sharply to the right...
