{Initiative is rolled 1d6; Dieter=4+1, Dorgan=4, Wolfmen=3, Priests=6. The priests chant. Dieter attacks 1d20=15,7, hits once for 1d6=2 hit points. Dorgan attacks 1d20=13, 14, two hits for 2d6=6+2 damage. Wolfmen attack 1d20=17,4,16,9, Dieter is hit for 1d6=1 hit point, Dorgan is hit for 1d6=5 hit points!}
...escalates to another level of brutality. The black priests chant on, charging the two wolfmen with unnatural zeal; they push themselves to harder, but Dieter and Dorgan are ready and cut the pair of them down with sword and axe! But the second rank immediately push over their fallen comrades to engage the hard-pressed fighters; Dieter takes another minor scratch but Dorgan takes another serious blow.
{Dorgan has 4/19 hit points. Dieter has 12/18 hit points.}
