Meanwhile, The Boar is enthusiastically saying to Dieter, "I could well use a good Man like you, and maybe a couple of yer lads if you must -- the taller ones mind -- back at the front. There's fightin' a plenty, and fair loot fer them that's worth it." as he strolls through the camp, his Men sagely nodding their agreement.

"There's even land ta be won with a sword arm like yours. What d'ya say to that!? Come back with me, an' you could be a Lord one day, ha!"

Olaf drinks very little of the wine and keeps himself alert, but not unfriendly. He doesn't trust these men or their lord, very much, and will be happy to move on.

'Tis why half the Men are scouring the hereabouts for game, and servants have been sent to demand stocks from Ket. It will be sore news indeed if they have none to spare!"

"As for whence we come; we are recently returned from campaigning in the east, where the raiding has ground to a standstill. Ingo sends Eberhardt back east to gather up more Men to bolster his cause, but there are few worth taking..."
"Sore news indeed," Ulric says to the quartermaster. "There are rumors in Ket that supplies are being cut off on the roads by bands of goblins and hobgoblins. They are stopping human caravans and only letting goblin caravans through. The goblins in Ket are prospering while the humans are struggling. I fear that Sir Eberhardt's servants will be given little, if nothing at all."

Ulric pauses for a moment, looking very concerned for his friends plight.

"If Sir Eberhardt himself were to go along with his formidable company, however, things may be different. He may be able to collect more than enough supplies from the goblin's stores."

Olaf keeps his eyes open and stays sober. If he gets a chance he'll sound out some of Eberhart's men as to whether they have run into any goblin or hobgoblin road blocks in the area.

"We've heard that they are charging exorbitant fees to any travelers on the roads. High enough that no caravans have made it through to Ket for many days." Olaf will say then add shaking his head, "No nobles are residing in Ket these days, either. So, there is no one who can deal with these troubles."

If asked what his group is up too, Olaf will say, "We've been charged by the Abbess of Ket with a mission important to the Sisters. Not much profit in it, but a bit of grace and having the Sisters of Mercy as friends in times like these is a very good thing."

The quartermaster is nonplussed by Ulric's news; he is well accustomed to foraging and pillaging to keep the company afloat. He mutters something to the effect that Eberhardt himself is unlikely to set foot in Ket owing to a long standing "disagreement" he has with the Concourse.

Meanwhile, Olaf learns from the Men that while they have seen a few groups of Hobgoblin soldiery in the wilderness recently, the greenskins generally steer clear of Eberhardt's considerable company. Some of them suspect it is somehow The Soothsayer's doing... that he has negotiated some kind of "deal" with them. Others reckon it is Eberhardt himself who deters them. Whatever the reason, they are generally happy to avoid contact with the goblins.

Assuming you trust Eberhart and his men, I'd say, stay overnight...under their protection...and let Dieter completely heal. Start fresh in the morning. OTOH, Olaf would be just as happy to put in a few more miles before settling down for the night. Olaf would vote to go now, but he won't fight over it if the majority want to stay or if Dieter feels the need to spend some time recovering.
