As Ulric and Olaf gather up the various goods and trinkets to be researched, they consider from whence each article came. The crude brass ring, the copper ring set with its dark stone, and the pot of honey are all of, well, rather mundane Hobgoblin issue. Their manufacture seems unlikely to have been etched in the grand histories of the World.

The white gold ring, the damaged argent choker and the gilded letter opener were all recovered from deceased merchants. Perhaps these, the two rings above, and the plain gold ring from the fountain might be best appraised by a jeweller?

The silver goblet, oynx idol, brass belt and the brass scepter (and possibly, by its association with all these, the plain gold ring?) might be noted somewhere in the histories, but it will be a long and tediuos search without the advice of a wise collector of antiquities...

The libraries still hold a fascination, however. Ulric and Flewellen both have it in mind that they might search the Traders' libraries for clues as to the arcane formulae of The Exigent Secernment, a magick which would enable either Man to sense the lingering presence of enchantments.

Can give me directions to where it is?"

"Moi good sir, finding the temple is simpler than baking bread!" begins Albert with a chuffy smile, and then quickly stammers uncomfortably when he belatedly realises that he is addressing one of the faerie folk "Sir is right an fair oi do hope, an no offense is meant if 'tis not,".

He continues more reservedly, "The Temple is right across town, you can near see tha steeple from the windows upstairs here. Go along Main way, through the market square, and all tha way up to the Traders' Concourse. Then you make to yer right along Chantry lane and you can't miss it."

"You might get yerself a hooded cloak, if yer meaning to avoid notice oi mean," he advises quietly, and then looks embarrassedly about. "Not that you would want to," he corrects himself, "Io just mean, well, them Snorks have no love of Elves now, do they?"

He shrugs his shoulders apologetically, then hurries off to his other tasks.

Ulric considers the items before him

"Perhaps we should see a jeweler first," he says to Olaf. "We'll see what is offered for these rings and other items. Perhaps we may find a antiquities dealer as well to appraise the other items."

Ulric approaches Alfred for directions to these establishments.

"Sir, have you any knowledge of a reputable jeweler or antiques dealer in Ket? We have some items that need to be appraised."

"You gent'elmen certainly is busy this mornin!" observes Albert good naturedly, wiping sweat from his brow as he pauses from his own chores about the kitchen.

"Well, let me think now," he scratches his head as he thinks, "There be a fine crafter of jewellery along Crib street before you reach the Traders' Concourse if io remember rightly, thou io don't have the kind of coin to visit him meself. As for books and libraries, them Traders have whole rooms of such stuff at the Concourse, as Io'm told."
