While the group seems friendly, and indeed has been kind enough to let them share the cellar the previous night, Dorgan hasn't really felt comfortable with any of the mercenaries except Gustave. Since it looks like they share an interest in tobacco, the dwarf will sit next to him at breakfast.

"Tell me, Gustave, and I mean not ta be rude, but what sort of puppetry is it that fellow over there practices?" Dorgan gestures to Desmond with what he hopes is a subtle nod of the head. "'Tis a bit strange ta observe, I hafta admit, and I know not the purpose. Is he a bard of some sort, or a fool?"

Dieter will stay at the Plough and Furrow with Desmond/Mondes to guard the loot while the rest go about their business.

When they're returned, he can go have his bath and re-equip himself.

Guntrum will likewise stand guard at the Inn unless his presence is required elsewhere. He sympathetically reminds those headed to the tailor's to get that cloak for Desmonde/Mondes.

Her eyes are wide. Her mouth is open. Her already-strained nerves are a-jangle.

She's just got her first good look at Desmond/Mondes!

"Ah yes", says Gustave, as his new dwarven comrade and the armoured maiden simultaneously note that the elusive hobbit in the group is not two close friends after all, but indeed, one halfling with two heads.

"Allow me to introduce Desmond and Mondes", he pronounces gandiosely, "our rather well-equipped halfling brother".

"We are all kinds here, and cannot not turn a blind eye to any just because they have cephalic additives! No, these two are integral members of our group, and I would have you treat them thus. While they share a body their minds are most definitely their own - eh chaps?" he finishes, raising a brow at the pair.

"But for now, as some of you have noted, there are some things to take care of. I would be so bold as to propose the following."

"Olaf and I will go to procure some vestments for ourselves, and something more eloquent than a sack for our diminutive colleagues", he pats desmond/mondes on the shoulder, "We will then to the baths, where this diverse collection of dust and blood will be removed, and I myself at least, will partake in a long overdue shave. I will then - again accompanied by loyal Olaf", he asides, nodding at the young fighter, "to an establishment I know where we can convert certain items of loot to more portable coin." He stops here for to take a breath, or for theatrical value.

"We will thence return to our cozy cellar here with what intelligence we have gained and for Dieter and others to take their turn."

Finally he turns to Josiane, "As for your threats of the walking dead, Madame, I assure you that we take them with the upmost gravity, but must request you give us a moment to reorganise ourselves lest we fail to serve you to the upmost of our abilities." he says, bowing deeply and gracefully (and filthily).

"I trust this 'plan' is suitable plan to all? If not speak quickly as the say is wasting!"

Coin will be more divisible amongst the group, true, but hardly more portable.

In fact, sacks of coins will be scores of times more bulky than the jewellery is (depending upon how much coin it actually fetches).

The company are fired with a rare energy to get things done about town. Who can say whether it is the infectious buzz of simply being in town, or a gnawing fear of the supposed walking dead? Regardless, a lot seems to be happening all at once.

Ulric offers Albert an additional dozen copper coins for the continued use of his basement, which he anxiously accepts; though Ulric does wonder whether the Man is perhaps over nervous at the prospect of his adventuresome guests staying on...

The majority set about their morning's tasks, with Dieter and Guntram volunteering to remain behind to guard the loot, and also, it must be fairly said, to sample a few more of Albert's fine brews. Desmond/Mondes awaits the arrival of a cloak before venturing out, with Mondes complaining of every imaginable complaint.

"What you gawkin' at Toots?" he coughs when Josiane's jaw drops at her first casting eyes upon him.

Germaine's Baths

Olaf and Gustave make their way to Gernmaine's Baths, following directions from Albert's stable boy, and soon find the place. It is not quite so illustrious as Gustave was hoping, with the bathes themselves being primarily a series of naives cut from solid bedrock and filled with invigoratingly cold river water. However, there are several great brass tubs of soapy water with cook fires set beneath them so that the water is at least warm.

However, their are barbers and back scrubbers on hand, and for a mere 3cp a piece the pair are scrubbed so clean, and shaved so close that they scarcely know themselves!
