What light there is in this room comes entirely through the distraught doorway. There doesn't appear to be any light -- bar that which filters through from this room -- beyond the grubby window.

Josiane takes a quick peek, and catches a glimpse of a cramped passageway littered with crates and boxes stacked against the dingy walls.

The window is high enough up the door that Dorgan can only just peer through if he stands on his tip-toes... not a very dignified position. Clearly this warhouse was not built with the Dwarfish folk in mind.

Dwarfs do see well in dim light, but they cannot see in true dark.

Dorgan will approach the door, intending to look through the window. As he gets close enough to realize he won't be able to see anything because it's too high, he'll settle for listening at the door (and pretending that was his original intention the whole time).

Lastly, before he leaves the room, the dwarf will grab a pot of paint. Handy blunt weapon and we could light spilled paint on fire to cover a hasty retreat.

Note that, if this takes a lot of time and the team is ready to go, Dorgan will abandon any searching, grab the paint, and head out.

Dorgan's eye passes quickly over much of the clutter that lies about. He decides intuitively that this must be the "backroom" of a painter or carpenter's workshop. There are dubious lengths of timber off cuts standing in corners, old brooms, trestles, pieces of scaffold, a few buckets of tools, lots of empty and dried up tins and pots of old paint, and well used throw covers. The lot of it is spattered with paint drips and covered in dust and cobwebs.

Dorgan doesn't find any fresh paint tins, but grabs an old tin bucket with six inches of dried plaster in its base as a handy bludgeon.

He notes that the floor isn't anything like as dusty as the stowed hardware, so it would appear that this room gets reasonably regular traffic... to and from the back door.
