Ahead, Pelenwin now spots yet another passage way branching away form the curved way he is following. This one to the right...

Meanwhile, a dozen or so paces further back, Highbough notices that the walls are not as entirely clean as they do appear. In fact they are coated in a thin, clear film of... something?

The stuff is neither sticky, nor slimy. If anything, it is like an incredibly fine coating of super-brittle silk. The merest touch of a dagger point snaps the stuff of like dried paint that splinters into a tiny tiny fragments.
