Um... I thought it was Gustave's plan to find a way down to the ravine door exit, picking Olaf and Victor up along the way. If that is indeed your path, then you still need to find a way down to the ravine floor...

OCC: I thought the plan was not to get killed by the giant and hopefully find Olaf and Victor while we're at it.

But yes this is likely a way down into the ravine or an entrance to even more brutal pain...either way, Pelenwin's up for the job.

Pelenwin approaches the strange, dug out chamber, peering now in through the open door arch, with the others behind him in the narrow passage...

Dieter's lantern is approximately 3/4 full still.
Wibert will keep an eye out for anything he could use as a torch. He asks the others, "if you see anything that we can use as a torch it will be really great. Or else we will fine ourselves walking around in the dark once we use up these two".

Pelenwin moves onto the stone ledge, in the scarcely illuminated chamber. By the flickering ochre light from Gustave's lantern -- that dances madly with tall shadows around great pools of darkness -- Pelenwin observes that only a rough trestle at the far right end of the ledge is crafted from timber... the whole of this ledge, and all the others it would seem, is stone.

It will not take too much to clamber down the first trestle and onto the second ledge, he decides, and makes to do so... thus enabling Gustave and Dieter space to move into the room and onto the 5ft wide ledge -- in the original marching order.

As Pelenwin climbs down the trestle, it seems to Gustave and Dieter that there might be a faint movement of air coming up from the darkness below...
