"It doesn't look like the goblins have tried to come down here and enter behind us." Olaf says, "I'm for leaving this place and getting into the fresh air if we can."

"Let's go to the Lair, where we left our supplies and equipment, take what we can without overburdening ourselves and get out of here." he says, "If our luck holds, we might be able to sneak up the ravine. Hopefully, the rest of the party will have left a trail we can follow up top."

"d**n!" Olaf mutters very softly to himself and motions Victor to be quiet.

Then leads the way...very quietly...down the stairs toward the door to the outside. Let's not disturb anyone we might have to fight.

...a few steps down Olaf has a heady feeling that they have gotten away with it! He lets go of his pent up breath and hastens his pace somewhat, taking the steep stair as quickly as he dares now, with Victor in tow...

Some 80ft down the dark passageway there is a bright burst of flame as a lantern comes from nowhere to explode down the left hand wall of the passage behind a raggedy-looking fighting-Man who tumbles out of the ceiling amid an enormous shower of silver coins!

He lands ridiculously flat upon his back with a great clatter and then bounces over himself as a score of items fly from his pack as if he were a rag doll being tossed by a dog.

At last he comes to a pause scarcely a foot in front of the now rather serious oil fire... while a few strangling silver coins continuing to fall, haphazardly from the ceiling to bounce and roll around him as if it were the most natural thing in the world to do so...
