Now there's a thing, notes Ulric as he shuffles methodically about the perimeter... what is that there? The toes of a pair of boots? Whatever it is sticking out from beneath the curtain, it is only four or five steps ahead of him now...

(Only Ulric has seen this... the others are behind him)

Tombowings, by "jab" do you mean to simply poke them relatively non-dangerously, or do you mean to shear the toes away from the feet with an executioner's axe blow?

Everyone present looks up into the dark shadows over head and spies a strange scaffolding of poles and beams disappearing into the lofty darkness above. The snickering falls silent, but you are convinced someone is up there. Hiding in the shadows...

"Oh....in a ruin several days travel from here." Olaf says as he continues to move down the stairs searching for any sort of traps or dangers.
