Maloof will leave the lantern in the room and return down the ladder to explain the situation to the others and suggest we explore the room above. If the others agree, he'll return back up the ladder and begin exploring the room (heading east/clockwise, following the wall on his left). If the other's don't agree, he'll return back up the ladder to retrieve the lantern and come back down. In either case, he's not interested in collecting the silver piled at the base of the ladder.

OOC: I cannot find my list of spells that Naillus knows. Does he know Detect Magic? I am sure he does not have it memorized at the moment, but he could switch it out if we think it is worth it to cast on the silver pieces to find any buried treasure, so to speak.

Well, that is awfully nice of you. Sure, let's say Detect Magic, Magic Missile, and Knock (iirc I have 2 lvl 1 and 1 lvl 2)

Everybody climbs up the ladder, while Nailus casts Detect Magic, and sifts through the pile

Those in the room see on the edge of their vision, 40 or 50 feet away, a huge black blob advancing towards you, absorbing all light in a complete darkness
