Delve the Thirteenth

Maloof re-opens the door (from room #20) and peers through. Smelling barbeque, but noting that Aldbane is still alive, he nods confidently and proceeds to the other door and peers north around the door jamb.

OOC: I had completely forgotten that Aldbane was opening the door (I was still thinking about the rope)... so much the better that the plan still works!

He sees a 40' square room, with a door on the north wall across from this entrance. 10' of the room is east of the door, and 20' is to the right. The room is cold and wet, but otherwise empty

"Was the beast locked up here in this room alone?", Maloof asks rhetorically. He slips across the room and listens at the far door.

Franklin says, "Good shot, Wiglaff!" then moves to support Maloof at the door while Scones chows down on the tasty bbq dragon.

Nothing unusual is heard

Maloof opens the door (cautiously), hoping to come across something valuable protected by the fire room to the north and this ice room to the south.

You see at least 60 feet of corridor. There is a door 30' up on the E side, and 40' up on the west side

Maloof proceeds down the corridor, listening first at the east door, then at the west door (and looking further down the corridor).

After the west door, the corridor goes 30 feet more, and then ends at a T-junction at the 40' mark. Nothing is heard from behind either door

Maloof proceeds further down the corridor and looks both ways at the T-junction.

Hoping to see the door to the fire room, or my map is off!
