The current situation is thus:

..............#..#
..............#..#
..............#..#
..............#X.#
.............##.X#######
. Closed --> ()X.O...... --> Back toward cells,
.. door .....##.R#######.... stair and surface
..............#D.#
..............#..#
..............#.C#
..............#..#
..............#..#

Yes, the passage is only wide enough for one abreast. However, with Olaf retreating, it should be possible for Rodrick to take Olaf's current position, and then for Dieter to take up Rodrick's current position.

A few strings of webs are near enough to ignite -- which might delay the monster momentarily. But the main body of the webs are 20ft further down the corridore. Anwyn could throw her torch in an attempt to fire them...

"Slide around," Dieter growls. "Let me at them! After last night, I'm in need of some exercise."

Eris, it take a full turn (10 rounds) to rest and recover 1d6 hit-points. Is this your intention?

Anwyn tosses the torch at a clump of webs down the hallway, slings her backpack over her shoulders, grabs her bow, and slips back into the fountain room.

OOC: No, that's too long. I read it wrong, sorry. Olaf will still back up, though.

If Rodrick, or Dieter, slides over to take his place, Olaf will try to switch from sword to his short bow and use it against the monsters, firing from behind his companion...and being careful to not hit him.

Mads the Fair

Upon hearing the cry of "spider" from Anwyn and seeing her exit the corridor after tossing her torch, Mads will grab his short bow and attempt to fire down the passageway.

Were the spider make its way out, he would drop his bow and re-equip his cold-iron axe.

I don't recall whether Caine has any oil or holy water, but either might make a handy grenade versus the undead.

On the other hand, nothing is stopping Caine from entering the fountain chamber and looking about. There are two more completely unexplored (and unguarded!) passages leading from that room...
