Bloody brilliant shot, if you ask me. Shame Desmond ditched his bow earlier. I'll have to remember to look and see if it was picked up or if it still lies in the hallway...

Re: Out Of Character

Guys, apologies if posting's a bit spotty at present. My boat (i.e. my home) is currently out of the water undergoing an over-plate, so I'm in lodgings, therefore my internet access is liable to be spotty until the end of the month. I'll do my best to keep up, but if Josiane goes quiet, that's why. :)

Er... I'm pretty sure there's no Hallmark card for that, so I'll just have to wing it.

Hope your boat floats soon?

This is true, but there are also spells which don't need to be controlled.

Let us say that:

An Elf Fighter/Magic-user cannot cast spells from memory while wearing normal armour, but he can cast spells from memory while wearing magical armour.

A spell that does not require the Fighter/Magic-user's ongoing attention (e.g., Charm Person, the Infinitesimal Summons, etc.) will continue regardless of whether the Fighter/Magic-user subsequently dons armor or undertakes any other activity.

A spell that requires the Fighter/Magic-user's ongoing concentration, or requires him to actively direct or control it (e.g., Phantasm, the Eerie Lambent, etc.), will end if the Fighter/Magic-user subsequently dons armor.

A Fighter/Magic-user can read spells from scrolls even while wearing normal armour as can a thief (i.e., fails on a throw of 1-2 on a six-sided die).

A Fighter/Magic-user can read spells from scrolls while wearing magical armour without any chance of failure.

Re: Out Of Character

Sounds good Ways thanks for the clarification... Given that I'd obviously put the armor back on after the spell is cast. Hoping for rats or bats something undergroundy... Since we have to wait for Josiane it seems like the right thing to try. :)

I'd say you've been using that spell to great advantage, Mike. Well done! :)
