The truth of it is, we almost HAVE to split up anymore, with as many people as we have.
Otherwise, we'd have a train of people extended along entire corridors and 70% of the players wouldn't be able to do anything most of the time. It would get very boring very quickly for much of the party.
As long as we are smart about it, splitting up into two groups shouldn't be such a big deal, as we've proven in this adventure.
It's when we don't plan it well and get split up that trouble has found us...
