Do you really have 1,000 different boons!?!?
Yes I am the queen of all boons.

I think he was asking Ways if he really had a table of a thousand boons.

Speaking of boons... You might consider dropping the grappling hook and heavy hemp rope since your boon replaces it and has zero encumbrance. WOTE definitely tracks such things. Many of us have had to dump something or another at some point when we found treasure and couldn't carry it all with all of our gear.

Well the issue is I don't think my boon can be thrown like a rope and grappling hook or can it? My impression was this was a ladder you could hang down from a window for easy access. That and rope can be helpful still for tying somebody up which I doubt this boon would be very good for.

Initially I was working with my own lists of boons, with 3-18 for each of four classes. But as the campaign got on, I realised those were inadequate.

For a while after that I was just making stuff up on the fly. But more recently I've been using the Encyclopedia Magica for inspiration; it includes tables of d1000 rolls for each of 20 different categories of items.
So it's more like a d20000, although I don't use any of the particularly unique/campaign-specific items, and I always tone the results down to "near normal" items in any case.

The roll is really just for the seed of an idea that becomes a boon.

Poor Envogr indeed. Yet another victim of a split party.

Not to worry, revenge is on it's way! Maybe.

I've still not been able to figure out why that particular split happened, though...
