Olaf stays hidden (or mostly hidden) where he is and lets the giant go lumbering past. He can't see Highbough, but thinks to himself, "Surely the old elf will have enough sense to stay hidden and keep out of the way of this thing!"waysoftheearth wrote:{1d6=3}eris wrote:Does Olaf recognize Guntrum as being the giant as the big guy crashes through the buildings toward the Abbey and its bridge?
Alas, Olaf's wisdom is only 8, he hasn't joined the dots yet. All he sees is a terrific cloud of dust roiling forth as a 12ft giant bursts through the opposite wall, sending timbers and stones tumbling in all directions! The monster has a h u g e sword that looks like it could cut Olaf in two, and it's making a beeline for the abbey gate, wherein the priests have already withdrawn.
Olaf will step out of his cover and wave to his comrades!waysoftheearth wrote:From Olaf's position he see the Giant lumbering out of the dust cloud rising over the clattering ruin left behind it, and then to his surprise, he dimly sees several of his companions following after it... he can make out Gustave, surely, and who are those others behind him..? Ulric and Armando?
The Giant... wait! It's Giant Guntram! And he's making a beeline right for the abbey double doors. He'll reach them in about half a dozen more strides! The others are only half a minute behind him.
What now?

"Two black robed guards and two wolves. Guarding the entrance, there." Olaf points to the entrance, " Highbough disappeared in that direction. We are thinking the artifacts we are looking for are in there."danhem wrote:Ulric turns in surprise to see Olaf.
"Guntram wait! You're not going to fit in there and we still have wolves behind us!"
Ulric takes a moment to make sure the wolves have not started approaching the breach in the wall then turns back to Olaf.
"Olaf, how many have you seen."
