{Edited to add, he kind of hopes his shoulders will open the roof, but has no idea how big he is about to get}

Torben does note Ulric's orders, however, as his attention returns to the group. He'll retreat back to the party and act now as the rear guard, but will attempt to move to the 'front' if the action heats up.

Dorgan will attempt to attack the same foe as Dieter, if possible, in the hopes of bringing one of them down as quickly as possible. Otherwise, the one in front of him gets the full attention of Mads Cold Iron Axe.

Gutram fishes out one of the "magic-beans" from the pouch at his belt and pops it into his mouth as the bobbing shadows move purposefully into the reach of the lantern light -- wolves! Lots of wolves.

They prowl up and down the passage in numbers, growling and circling, but not approaching as Guntram breaks the dry old bean between his teeth and gags down the sawdust that fills his mouth...

Josiane utters her hallowed prayer as the brutal melee erupts in the confined space right before her. Dieter somehow lands a solid blow before her utterance is complete, but his oft-notched sword is tuned as if it were lead! But he lands another backhand clip after her words are said that bloods a wolfman as he, his fellows and Dorgan flay about wildly, chipping stones and striking sparks with their blows, but miraculously nobody is hurt.

At the rear, Desmond/Mondes advances nervously past the library door as a great, hungry pack of wolves lope into view in the passage behind them. The brave Halfling swallows... there's so many of them! Wen utters the arcane phrases of his Irascible Leer, turning his eyes glowing red and emitting a continual beam of hot orange light wherever he looks, but it is not hurtful unless focused on the flesh for a minute or more... certainly not possible in the midst of a mad melee.
