This reminded me that folks in the US refer to building levels differently to folks elsewhere.

FYI -- here is Aus, the ground floor is called "the ground floor", and the level above that is called "the first floor", as in the first floor above the ground.

If I remember rightly; in the US, the ground floor is called "the first floor" and the level above that is called "the second floor".

On the little mini-map of the manse I used the Australian terminology without thinking to do otherwise
I know, that's why I replied like I did. I knew you were using the European/British/Australian terminology, but we stubborn (and different) Americans do things differently.
Hmmm... I think I've been watching too much BBC. Or Masterpiece Classics/Mysteries. Because I automatically assumed 1st floor was the second story in the structure.

Some of us are more accepting of other cultures; I didn't have a problem with ground/first/second floor.

And Dieter will gladly pay his 200, just so he has a room of his own.

He'll even cheerfully suggest that those who can't pay make themselves useful. Cooking and cleaning, that sort of thing. (Ahh, that German sense of humor!)

Excuse me while I stick out my tongue at you!

I don't have a problem with ground/first/second either, but will probably continue to include the other version parenthetically just to avoid confusion. No, I don't wear a belt and braces (US version: belt and suspenders), but I've been accused to it.

Ways,

Question/concerns about ranged weapons for Desmond/Mondes...

It seems to me that using a bow, or even a crossbow, might be tricky with two heads. What are Desmond's options (and penalties) for various ranged weapons? I assume things like throwing knives and axes might not be too bad, but anything that involves lining up a sight might be different.

Hi, guys.

Posting might be a bit erratric for a couple of days. The boat I live on was broken into last night while I was at work and they tried to torch her. They didn't do a very good job of it and damage was largely cosmetic, but I'm a bit shaken and am busy with police/insurance etc and trying to do the job as well, so apologies if I'm a little slow in responding. Hopefully it won't be too noticeable!

I'm not seeing it as a problem at all... he enjoys a wider field of view, but aims missile with one brain at a time (whichever is looking at the target).

That sounds pretty rough DoctorX. Here's hoping it all turns out as well as it can. Don't worry too much about us, we'll be here when you're ready

Yikes! That would be enough to shake up anybody! Here's to hoping they catch the vandals and string them up by their...um, well lock them up anyway.
