But it is too late. Many of the others are already on their knees, cramming glittering coins into sacks and backpacks.

She is on the alert for any sight or sound of trouble, mechanical, supernatural or otherwise.

Dorgan will examine the other coffers to see if they also are triggered by the removal of their contents.
