Wiglaff rather boldly cuts off the finger bone with the ring on it. He wraps it in a scrap of cloth and puts it in his pack. He reasons that if he leaves the ring on the skeleton's finger then any possible negative effects won't transfer to him, and they can bring the ring back to the surface for investigation.
Assuming he survives this operation, he suggests the party take the west door -- our goal is still to try and find an area we've already mapped, so we can securely place the ogre room in relation to known territory.
