Once the party is formed up, hopefully with missiles ready, Wiglaff will open the door & step to the side to let better armoured figures take the brunt of any attack.

BTW, when you get to updating your map, put the door on the NORTH part of the east wall, not the south wall - sorry about that


You open onto a corridor going north and south, with a passage leading east to a door. It is as web-choked as the rest of it was

The passage east goes forty feet, correct? I assume that's the door we opened some time ago.

Let's proceed cautiously, clearing the intersection first, then heading south, I think. Everybody should have weapons ready, since we'll probably be ambushed if there are any spiders left!

Before we head out, Wiglaff is going to put on his plate armour (he'll save colour spray for other threats than spiders).

Comparing your map with mine, shows some differences, likely to do with interpretation over the years, so I would adjust your map so that the north/south corridor is in the middle 30' section of the 50' corridor

The north corridor goes at least 30', while the south goes 10' then opens into a large circular room with some sort of steel cage in the middle. (I currently have you standing at the intersection and looking)

Can we tell if the cage is occupied?

Specifically, we're standing here, with illumination, movement, and aromas that weren't here a moment ago. Does it look or sound (or smell) like something in the cage is reacting to any of that?

(Or anything else, for that matter, but Rhod is specifically looking at the cage.)

Wiglaff will keep an eye on the north passage while the cage is examined from the distance.

Aldbane peers into the circular room and cage as well, and generally stands ready.

The cage seems to be surrounded by walls on three sides, with a door with up and down bars. There is a lever to the left of the cage.
