Torben rolls around on the ground in pain and coughs up some blood. He stumbles to his feet and looks to help Olaf do the same.

Josiane blinks a couple of times as the dust of the awesome grappling match begins to settle.

"Goodness," is all she can manage to say, and even that a little weakly.

But then she sees the fallen horror beginning to rise, sees Wen stepping forward to challenge it, sees Torben and - gasp - Olaf smitten by the debris of the diabolical titan's collapse and moves swiftly into action, descending the rope with all haste to assist the battle below!

Beringar lets out a hoarse war cry and charges the fiend. This is where the tide turns!

Ulric remains hidden in the trees, waiting to see if Wen's gamble will pay off.

Highbough beams with big-brother pride at Wen's ingenuity and delays further action pending the outcome of the Gazeback spell.

Armando collars Josiane before she gets too far. "Careful! But a moment ago Master Wen invoked weird magics from his scroll — I am certain he has set a trap for our abominable foe. Hang back lest we spoil it, but mind our flanks — who knows what else will come over the wall!"

Josiane casts an angst-ridden glance in the direction of the half-squashed young warrior.

But she finally sees Armando's meaning, gulps and gives a brief nod of the head.

She scans the shattered walls and interior of the abbey for further threat as best she may, but her eyes are constantly darting back to the drama unfolding below...

Grunting and groaning, Olaf staggers to his feet still holding the grappling hook. After and instant to see what is going on, he begins smashing the grappling hook into the Tar Fiend's body, trying to break the torso open with the sharp hooks of the metal.

Staggering, bloody, and gasping for air, Olaf tries to keep his footing while he continues to smash the monster!

Ooc: I'd like somebody to pull Olaf away if Wen is doing the 'qaze' attack, but IG Olaf doesn't know what's up, so he doesn't know better than to press the attack. IOW, could someone save him from himself?

I'm confused; did Dieter and Dorgan come crashing down off the wall with the tar fiend, or are we still up there? That wasn't clear to me in all the hubbub.

Dieter, Dorgan, and Josiane remain on top of the wall. Dieter and Dorgan are immediately overlooking the Fiend which is lying in a pile of rubble (beginning to get up). Josiane is a bit farther down the wall (30-40ft or so).

(if they'd fallen they would have taken damage too).
