Re: Delve the Sixth

Wiglaff moves cautiously up the west wall of the hall. He stops before crossing in front of each window on that wall, and peeks behind it by lifting the curtain slightly with the axe.

His goal is to get within sight of the northern extent of the room, and note any additional doors or interesting features.

Re: Delve the Sixth

The room is 90 feet long by 30 feet wide. Each 10' section has a window. No new doors appear. He has so far checked the first four windows north of the west door, Each curtained window opens onto a blank wall

Re: Delve the Sixth

Wiglaff rejoins the group and outlines a plan.

"Let's post a few strong arms at the door opposite, and then Franklin and I can check the rest of these windows. We'll check the windows on opposite walls at the same time, working our way north. Just to be sure there's nothing hiding behind!"

Are there curtained windows also south of the two doors, and on the north and south walls?

Franklin is feeling considerably less brave than usual, but still agrees to help Wiglaff check the curtains on one side of the room.

Aldbane agrees to stand guard at the opposite door. While there he'll listen at it, but wait for the others before doing anything else.

Vesh instructs Marco to assist guarding the door, while have Young Aiden & Mona accompany him to check one of the noted curtained windows cautiously, using the tip of his staff to pull it open so he can view through after a 30 second wait in case something jumps out from behind the curtain.

Re: Delve the Sixth

You set up your guarding stations, and methodically start uncovering windows. At last, when uncovering the window on the east wall, northern-most section, you see that the window has no glass, and opens onto a crawlway, starting about 3 feet off the ground, and about 5 feet high and wide

Aldbane and Marco see the door they are guarding open, and a half dozen goblins stop short in surprise

Re: Delve the Sixth

Franklin holds back and lets his fighterly friends make short work of the goblins. He keeps one eye on the window-crawlway, in case additional monsters should emerge from it.
