"We could always take the south-west tunnel," suggests Robur with a look of dread in his eyes. "And reason out this insane puzzle later..."

Kiplyn sees that the northeast tunnel curves to the east and slopes gradually downward. The walls are damp and mildewy. After about 50' the tunnel ends in a 'sump,' meaning that it is flooded with water. It's a dead end, unless Kiplyn is feeling brave enough to hold his breath and go for a swim?

OOC: I love the 'vibe' of this video so much! It's a 3D LIDAR model of the Rising Star Cave in South Africa.

"Why doesn't anyone listen to me?" exclaims Robur feeling exasperated and runs after Kiplyn to the North-East.

Kiplyn looks at the sump and turns around..... Once back in the main cave he tell everyone else what he saw.

Map update:

Kiplyn's Sump is shown to the east.

The two middle passages look like they both open up into a dank, lair-like space to the north. The petrified dwarven acolyte of Athena stands frozen at the moment of looking in that direction.

To the southwest you can dimly see a 10' stone circle well.

Dame Simonetta is still of the opinion we should leave this place, but she will not abandon even a single hobbet behind and thus will not depart until everyone is ready. She keeps an especially wary eye on the two middle passages to the north.

"Ah, a fountain!" says Robur grinning. "Maybe this time I'll try the coin trick instead of swim, eh? We'll let me have a quick look."

Robur tries to sneak toward the fountain room in the South West (the direction he wanted to go in the first place)... leaving the others, to get a better look.

Is there anything there? Does the water look clear? Does the room feel welcoming? Anything in the water?

OOC: Sorry, I misspoke; it's a well, not a fountain.

Robur sees that the well is 10' across and 10' deep. The water looks 'glittery' with metallic flecks. At the bottom of the well are several hundred silver pieces. Since you asked, the well-room does feel kind of 'welcoming' or at least has a 'peaceful' aura.

bilfur comments, " wells are normally outside yes? Unless by erosion or this could be a sink hole how is there a well inside. Anyone have a bucket to fish out the coins."
