"Well done, both of you!"

Willie slaps Robur and Dougal on the back. He will suggest that Wilbur take the chain mail.

"We're going to have to climb back up the slide to get anywhere other than Level 3. What do you think? Should be try it now? We could set up a line of slingers at the bottom, then Dame S and Wilbur (our greatest Fighters!) could climb up while we cover them, and then hold the top of the hill while we all get up there. What do you think?"
Going to be scarce here thru next weekend, probably. I'll try to check in, but Willie will get along with any moderately sensible plan. :)

The Dame approves of Willie's plan. She doesn't find the war-hog motif on the shield appropriate to her personal self-image, and will not attempt to claim it.

Dougal examines the chainmail to see if it shows any signs of being elven-made.
Dougal thinks the armor looks hobbet-made from the standard materials, and, alas, it would not be appropriate for a Burglar.

(We haven't "unlocked" elves yet in this campaign. ;))

Is he going to keep the poison gas bladder, perhaps with hopes of weaponizing it in the future?
Dougal will make sure the bladder is secured properly and then strap it to his pack.

Beppo had been facing the tunnel again and thinking. "If we pushed the chest in front of us, we could use it as a weapon against the next monsters we meet..."

Then he turned around again and saw everything had already been solved. "Oh! Well done."

OOC: Wilbur does seem to be the best candidate for the chainmail. Since this campaign has no MU's or Detect Magic, I will allow Wilbur (or anyone else) to identify the armor simply by trying it on... Ditto for the shield.

Wilbur will be quite happy to take the chainmail. He'll try it on now, if everybody else will cover him (don't want any nasty wandering monsters while he's unarmored!)

Kiplyn would look at the shield and set his down and give it a try. "What kind of pig is that? But more importantly how's does this feel on my arm" he would think aloud.

Noh turns a druid-eye toward the shield. Can anything be gleaned from close observation? Type of pig? Significance of its war-ness? Tastiness of its bacon?

Wilbur identifies the armor as +1 chainmail.

Kiplyn identifies the +1 shield.

Noh identifies the pig as a sow (female). She looks proud, battle-hardened and delicious. Noh recalls ancient legends that the Stout family's elite warriors used to ride war-pigs into battle.

"Hey this shield feels nice, anyone mind if I use it?" Kiplyn would say while waving it around in the air defending against imaginary foes.
