Re: The Ninth Adventure

I also thought it was a weak skeleton thing and not a cursed sword thing. Damn.

So... you're trying to entice me into joining ANOTHER game you're running? With cursed swords?

Re: The Ninth Adventure

The sword is cursed, but it comes with free frogurt! (The frogurt is also cursed.)

Look on the bright side, Ethan: as a 4th level thief, Dougal has that sweet, sweet THAC0 16. So even with the -1 from the cursed sword, he's still the equivalent of a 1st-3rd level thief with a +2 sword.

But it comes free from his hand, once he joins your other game as well, right?

Re: The Ninth Adventure

That trap was definitely one of the stranger things we've seen in this dungeon. Because of my earlier mistake, misreading Dame Simonetta's marching orders, your original intention was to explore the trap room, then the Athena statue room. So we ended up doing those two rooms out of order from your original intent, #12 and 13. Where to next?

Map for convenience. The party is currently at #2.

Re: The Ninth Adventure

There are ether twisty tunnels to check in #2 or the up ramp in Room 10 that leads into more rooms....

Re: The Ninth Adventure

How are we doing for our spell slots (do our casters still have spells left)? I think we're overall doing OK on Hit Points, not too low yet overall. Anyone close to levelling up? Back in town we could also maybe see what we can do about Dougal's sword though?

Re: The Ninth Adventure

OOC: I added a 'Spell slots remaining' column to our google sheet. According to my notes: Bilfur (2nd level druid now) cast faerie fire twice, Robur cast faerie fire once, Noh still has 1 spell slot available. Does that sound accurate as far as you can remember? You have some monster xp but need a big gem/jewellery to make this trip worthwhile score in my opinion. There's got to be some big treasure here somewhere on dungeon level 3!! Can you think of a safe place to take a rest turn, eat 3rd breakfast, heal 1 hit point and plan your next move?

Re: The Ninth Adventure

If it's not too soon to rest again, I think near the exit is a good place. If everyone wants to continue exploring, I think area #10 would be the best. We could look at the tunnels in area #2 on our way past, I'm not even sure if we can fit inside them? (Further investigation would reveal that).

Re: The Ninth Adventure

Noh is always one hit from death no matter what. I'm good with either, but I'd prefer to continue exploring.
