"Hmm 'deeper...' Maybe I will finally find some exotic herbs or flowers... or even mushrooms," says Robur out loud to no one in particular as he scratches an itchy sore patch from the regrettable 'dunking' from the last encounter.

Willie backs away from the webs. "Ick! Those remind me of our old enemy the Spider-Goat. Let's skedaddle."

He examines the treasure they've gathered in their sacks.

"I know we haven't been down here very long, but should we head up to the surface and deposit these coins? They are heavy to lug around."

"A good point!" Beppo said, holding 30 lbs of copper pieces over his shoulder. "If we get rich off this trip, we should hire other hobbits to serve as runners, waiting for us at the entrance and running treasure back to your stash for you..."

For this trip, Beppo was ready for a detour and go sit his load down...though he had no idea where to stash it yet.

Robur clears his throat nervously and speaks being uncharacteristically forthright, "Umm... as a junior member of the group and a bit of a reckless fool, I maybe have the least right to speak up. But friends, some of us have a lot to carry and aren't feeling very good. Why not be cautious little folks so none of us die? How about a good rest at the inn for a night, and come back in full Hobbit strength and pride to delve. What say you?"

((OOC - Robur apparently has a potential to exhibit leadership qualities, i.e. Charisma, but having to be rescued twice may result in people ignoring the speech...))

Wandering monster check 1d6=5, no encounter

The party safely returns to the surface!

DM retcons that Willie took the copper pieces (why not).

I will do a quick xp & treasure tally and have your updated totals for you shortly.

Selfishly? I'm glad you decided to make this kind of a short delve. I have some proposed tweaks to our house rules, but I've been waiting for a break in the action, I didn't want to change the rules mid-adventure. I'm curious to know your thoughts on these proposed changes, over in the OOC thread:

((Willie took the copper pieces...except for the ones Beppo already took?))
