Fred gets his wand off first (he won initiative) and it is a cone effect. Based on the geography, I think it gets everybody in the hallway, and most everybody else, except Wiglaff and Aldbane, who are close but enough to the side. I am willing to hear well-made arguments to the contrary :)

From Fred's wand comes an intense blast of cold, freezing solid poor Maloof and all the henchmen. Aldbane casts Hold Person, which is resisted AGAIN, and then Franklin moves up and stabs Fredbut not fatally

ACTIONS for next round!
MECHANICS
Wand does 17 damge, 9 vs those who make their save
This kills all the henchmen :(

Wand of Ice calls for saving throw vs Breath Weapons. The question is, do magic plusses of defensive items help with saving throws? DD gives no direction on that, but the AD&D DMG allows it, so I will take it into account; Grampus gets +1, Rhod gets +5!!, Maloof +1, Franklin +1

Grampus, needs 11, rolls 11 - he takes 9 damage
Rhod, needs 10, rolls 12 - he takes 9 damage
Maloof, needs 13, rolls 6 - he takes 17 damage
Franklin, needs 11, rolls 15 - he takes 9 damage

Aldbane, Hold Person, saving throw is 19 - success
Franklin, @Fred, rolls 12 - hits for <1d6>=6 damage

HIT POINTS
Aldbane 18/18
Wiglaff 14/14
Grampus 9/18
Rhod 5/14
Maloof -1/16
Franklin 1/10

Wiglaff finds himself deeply angered by the freezing of all the henchmen! He charges in to cut off Fred's head with his battle-axe.

Aldbane and Wiglaff rush from the side, and Fred swivels to deal with them, blasting them with his wand. In his haste he also catches Bob with his cone of cold. All of them succomb to the power of the wand. Franklin and Rhod cut Fred down.

The party only has left Rhod, Franklin, and Grampus

Bob dies

Franklin @Fred, rolls 13, hits for 6 damage
Rhod @Fred,rolls 15, hits for 6 damage, killing him

Franklin does a quick inventory whether any of the potions he is carrying survived the icy blast.

Next he checks whether Maloof's efreet lamp can be salvaged.
